What accounting software do you work with?
QuickBooks (Online and Desktop), Xero, Sage, Wave, and Excel, plus payroll and bill-pay tools like Gusto and Bill.com. And if your records are still a box of receipts or a stack of spreadsheets, that's fine too — we'll organize them and set you up properly. We meet you where you are; we won't force a migration you don't want.
Do you replace my CPA or tax accountant?
No. I handle your day-to-day books, reporting, and financial operations, and I work alongside your tax preparer — handing them clean, accurate numbers at tax time so filing is faster and less stressful. If you don't have a CPA, I can point you to one.
How much does bookkeeping cost?
It depends on your transaction volume and the support you need. After a quick review of your business, I give you a clear, flat quote — no hourly surprises.
How much does a cleanup cost, and how long does it take?
Cleanup is scoped per project based on how far behind you are and your transaction volume. Most take a few weeks, and I quote the full cost up front before any work begins.
You're a new firm — can I trust you with my books?
Forte is new, but I'm not. I bring 30 years of controller-level finance and accounting experience to every client. You get seasoned, owner-level attention from day one — without the overhead of a large firm.
What is a business review and benchmark?
It's a periodic, plain-English report on your performance, with your key metrics benchmarked against comparable businesses in your local market — so you know how you stack up and exactly where there's room to grow.
